Every once in a while, it’s fun to do something different, don’t you agree? Because I have a September birthday, I usually grow introspective during the month of August as the end of another year of my life draws to a close and I get ready to adjust to being a year older.
The other day, as I was ruminating and setting my writing goals for the coming year, it occurred to me that other people may find themselves facing a new start at this time of year, thanks to the kids going back to school.
Parents who’ve, out of necessity, taken the summer off writing may be getting back to work. Others may be looking forward to the next round of writing contests and thinking about polishing up their first three chapters so they can enter. And that’s when it occurred to me that it might be fun to celebrate my birthday by offering a special on my critiquing/editing services for my birthday month
So here’s the deal: Pay for 10 pages (at just $2.00/page, it’s already lower than most of the competition) and get another 10 pages 1/2 off. Of course, the offer isn’t imited to 20 pages per person, either. If you want 50 pages critiqued, pay full price for 25, pay half-price for the other 25. Need a critique of a full manuscript? My time is limited, however, so I do have to set a cap on how many pages I can accept during the month. Space will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Email me to claim your space and take advantage of this offer.
For those who don’t know me, I’ve been teaching, critiquing, and coaching other writers, as well as writing my own books, since 1993. I understand what it’s like to have an artistic vision of a book, and I know how to help you figure out when something’s working and when it’s not. If it’s not working, I’ll offer suggestions for possible fixes, but that’s all they are–suggestions. I hope my ideas may spur you to think creatively and outside the box you may have locked yourself into as you wrote.
